This is my story - I shared this about 3 years ago - but here it is again!
They both grew up in wonderful Christian homes with loving parents
As you can see they lived in similar styled home and liked to do the same things (ha!)
But they both spent junior high and high school in small towns in Arkansas and Kelly was a cheerleader and Scott played football.
Scott went to college at SAU and Kelly went to Ouachita and they both graduated college but neither one found the "one" in college
But Kelly did make a best friend in college who just "happened" to be Scott's cousin (or maybe God divinely planned it that way) and she decided to fix them up. So in June 2000 they met for a blind date.
This is a picture of Scott and Kelly on their third date.
(I knew he was the one after the second date. I finally felt AT HOME! )
And then after 3 1/2 years of dating........
they finally said "I do" on November 1, 2003
And that is really just the beginning of the story!
We've been married 6 1/2 years and every year just gets better!
Can't wait to read your stories!

ReplyDeleteHi, Kelly! We are states apart, but I smiled when I stumbled upon your blog today. It was like running into an old friend. You see, a couple years ago, I followed your blog stories as you struggled with Harper's health right after her birth. Oh, I shared that journey with many tears and prayers. As things progressed to normal and I got busy with the birth of my second boy, I lost track of your blog. It was a joy to find it again!
ReplyDeleteMy life is Christ's, and my husband and I co-lead a 200 person marriage ministry at our church (http://www.compassbiblechurch.org) It is so nice to see someone as in love with the Lord, a sister in Christ who loves all things creative and shines boldly for Him in all she does.
I also was relieved to see you had multiple blogs. I have one I write just for ministry to the wives at church called Helpmate and I have a family one (I don't post much due to Facebook really doing the same job as this family blog did) AND I have one for crafting and recipes. I am sometimes embarrassed by the fact I run three blogs, but I LOVE to write and share with people--especially the truths of the Bible!
I LOVE this entry about how you met your husband--marriages are such a precious gift and what a neat way to remember how God brought two people together for life! Have a beautiful day in Him and I'll be praying for you as you continue to bear fruit for His glory!
